Builder is the conversational specialist for creating and changing a work configuration. The saved configuration defines how the resulting specialist performs the job.
The Builder conversation helps define:
- the specialist's name and job,
- its system instructions,
- the built-in tools it may use,
- connected MCP integrations,
- clickable example prompts,
- reusable workflows,
- scheduled triggers.
The first design question
Start with a job, not with a list of features:
Each weekday, review new support messages, classify urgency and draft a response. Never send without human approval.
This specifies an input, outcome, cadence and authority boundary.
Configuration is the product state
Builder can update the current specialist configuration. Review that configuration after a meaningful change. The conversation is the design surface, while the saved configuration is the operational source of truth.
Builder does not remove the need for a human owner. The owner decides the job, permissions, test evidence and whether automation is allowed.
