Tools and connections

Reference only. Project progress and credentials come from assessed work.

A worker needs capabilities to act. Builder can configure built-in tools and discover external services through MCP integrations and credential profiles.

Built-in capability examples

The reviewed Builder source can configure capabilities for web research, files, shell work, browser use, presentations, deployment and external data providers. Availability depends on the current environment and worker configuration.

External services

For a connected service:

  1. Search for the relevant MCP integration.
  2. Review the service and required credential profile.
  3. Connect or select the approved profile.
  4. Discover the tools exposed by that profile.
  5. Enable only the specific tools the worker needs.
  6. Review the final worker configuration.

Do not assume that connecting a service automatically enables every action. Tool selection is a separate control.

Permission review

For each enabled capability, record:

  • business purpose,
  • data it may read,
  • actions it may write,
  • credential owner,
  • human approval point,
  • stop and recovery behavior.
