Cascade supports two current branch operations.
Expand
Expanding a node generates additional consequences below that branch. The request carries the original event, parent context, selected node and current time horizon.
Use Expand when an important leaf is too broad or stops before the decision-relevant effect.
Recalculate
Recalculate changes an assumption at a selected node and regenerates the subtree below it. The existing descendants are removed before replacement nodes stream in, and the modified node is marked.
Use Recalculate when you want to test how one branch changes under a new assumption. It is not a native two-tree scenario comparison.
History and export
The current frontend stores cascades in local browser history. The tree can be exported as PNG, PDF or JSON. JSON includes the current node data and export metadata.
Handoff
An honest decision note includes:
- root event and horizon,
- depth and branch settings,
- selected load-bearing and high-impact nodes,
- probability and confidence kept separate,
- modified assumptions,
- external evidence still required,
- export format and named owner.
